How to book the best Beaufort vacation rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Beaufort. To find the best value, shift your trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Morehead City visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain coupons for local shops and restaurants.

How to choose and book the perfect Morehead City vacation home:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. It's an easy 10 minute stroll to downtown has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible online. If not, contact the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish which bed configuration is best for your vacation.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Get details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

Know before you go:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Document any issues with the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a terrific stay? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
