How to find the best Morehead City vacation home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Booking your Morehead City vacation home in Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • In the Morehead City area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies often offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Morehead City area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Choose vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. BRING YOUR BOAT - ATLANTIC BEACH\/PINE KNOLLS SHORES 4 BR SOUNDFRONT HOME has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property owner before booking the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what is best for your vacation.
  • If there's an individual Morehead City attraction you simply love, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
  • If your family is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Request details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect for any problem areas during check in. E-mail the rental manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a terrific vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
