If there is a disagreement about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and communication attempts could be helpful.

  • Don't forget to be a good next-door neighbor. Residents more often than not live within earshot. Remember the golden rule and treat others the same way you'd like to be treated by visitors next to your primary residence.
  • Ask a local. Local people can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best pizza, have a great night out, or the best areas for night life?
  • Enjoy your stay! Make certain to protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the vacation rental locked up when you are away, just like you would at home.

At the end of your stay

  • Make sure that you've packed everything. Examine drawers, bath cupboards and cabinets.
