Tricks and tips for getting the best Atlantic Beach rental experience:

Find your perfect rental home:

  • Summer months are high season in Atlantic Beach. Booking your Morehead City vacation home in Fall or Spring is a good way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many rental management companies supply Morehead City area travel guides which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Narrow your Search:

  • Start by choosing your a vacation week and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Searenity, Oceanfront House in Emerald Isle, NC! has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Morehead City rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Does your family require specific amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

Tips for a great stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the rental manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected everything. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great reviews to inspire more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
