Morehead City vacation rental booking tips and tricks:

When to visit Beaufort & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Beaufort. To get the most suitable rental for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Morehead City restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Morehead City area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides have money saving offers on nearby accommodations and attractions.

Selecting and booking the bestvacation home:

  • Begin by selecting vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Ann St Cottage In The Heart Of Historic Beaufort has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking pages. If not, email the host before you reserve the property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what configuration is optimal for your group.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Request details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect your property!
  • To make sure damages aren't linked to your family's stay, note any problem areas upon check in. Call the rental manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property a final time and look for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
