There is also a putting green out front to brush up on your game between beach visits.

If you are visiting with kids or teens, this setup is ideal! The double bunk room is a fun and comfortable space. How to find the best Morehead City rental experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Booking your vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Morehead City area visitor guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning, picking, and booking the best Morehead City rental:

  • Begin by choosing trip dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Sweet, walkable beach cottage with elevated sundeck, patio & shuffleboard has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • Does your group require unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Upon check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a terrific vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
